How to Create Discount Codes

Discount codes let you lower the price of registration at checkout for certain registrants. You can set expiration dates, apply redemption limits, and use the same code across multiple programs.

This article will cover how to create your first discount code, how to create new codes and how to apply existing ones.

Steps to Create Your First Discount Code

1. Go to your Programs Page and complete step 1 of building a new registration form
2. On step 2, navigate to the Discounts section
3. Click + Add Discount Code

4. Enter a unique code (ex: EARLYBIRD) and set the discount amount

5. Choose whether or not the code should expire or if it should be limited in the number of times it can be redeemed
6. Click Add

Steps to Create A New/Secondary Discount Code

1. Go to your Programs Page and complete step 1 of building a new registration form.
2. On step 2, navigate to your Discounts section
3. Click + Add Discount Code
4. Click +Create New
5. Enter a unique code (ex: SCHOLARSHIP) and set the discount amount
6. Choose whether or not the code should expire or if it should be limited in the number of times it can be redeemed
7. Click Add
8. Select all of the discount codes that you'd like attached to this form (check for the blue outline to ensure they're selected) and click "Save".

How to Apply Existing Discount Codes or Edit a Code

1. Navigate to the Pricing step/section when either creating or editing a registration program
2. Click +Add Discount Code
3. Click on the discount code(s) within the list of existing ones that you want to apply or make changes to
   1. Make sure you see the blue outline to confirm you selected the code
4. To apply the code to your program, click Save in the bottom right corner. To edit the code details, click Edit Code
5. Once completed, click Save to close the side navigation and move forward with your form updates.

⚠️ Things to Keep in Mind

• 🗓️ When a code reached its expiration date, it can no longer be used at checkout.
• 🔄 You can use one code for as many programs as you'd like.
• 🔡 Codes are not case sensitive.
• 1️⃣ Only one code can be redeemed per registrant, per registration form.
