How to Create Discount Codes

Discount codes let you lower the price of registration at checkout for certain registrants. You can set expiration dates, apply redemption limits, and use the same code across multiple programs.

This article will cover how to create your first discount code, how to create new codes and how to apply existing ones.

1️⃣  Steps to Create Your Very First Discount Code

1. Go to your Programs Page and complete step 1 of building a new registration form.

2. On step 2, navigate to the Discounts section.

3. Click "+ Add Discount Code".

4. Enter a unique code (ex: EARLYBIRD), set the discount amount, and choose whether or not the code should expire or if it should be limited in the number of times it can be redeemed.

5. Click "Add".

🆕  Steps to Create A New/Secondary Discount Code

1. Go to your Programs Page and complete step 1 of building a new registration form.

2. On step 2, set your Program Price.

3. On this same step, navigate to the below section and click "+ Add Discount Code".

4. Click "+Create New".

5. Enter a unique code (ex: SCHOLARSHIP), set the discount amount, and choose whether or not the code should expire or if it should be limited in the number of times it can be redeemed.

6. Click "Add".

7. Select all of the discount codes that you'd like attached to this form (check for the blue outline to ensure they're selected) and click "Save".

✏️  How to Apply Existing Discount Codes or Edit a Code

1. Navigate to the Pricing step or section when either creating or editing a registration program.

2. Click "+Add Discount Code".

3. Click on the discount code(s) within the list of existing codes that you want to apply or make changes to (check for the blue outline to ensure the needed code is selected).

4. To apply the code to your program, click "Save" in the bottom right corner. To edit the code details, click "Edit Code".

5. Once completed, click "Save" to close the side navigation and move forward with your form updates.

⚠️  Things to Keep in Mind

🗓️ When a code reached its expiration date, it can no longer be used at checkout.

🔄 You can use one code for as many programs as you'd like.

🔡 Codes are not case sensitive.

1️⃣ Only one code can be redeemed per registrant, per registration form.
