How to Get a Custom Website Domain

When you create your Jersey Watch account, your temporary web address will be something like your-organization-name.jerseywatch.com. When you select a plan and launch your site, you can have your own domain name like www.yourorganizationname.com.

Having a custom domain is important to establishing your website's brand. Parents and athletes will use your domain to easily find and access your website so it's important that your domain is well thought out.

How to Choose a Custom Domain

You'll want to choose a domain name that’s: short and easy to remember, simple to spell and type and representative of your organization’s name or purpose.

You can check if a domain is available using this tool: Domain Lookup Tool. If you see the message: "The requested domain was not found in the Registry or Registrar's RDAP server", that means the domain is available!

How to Set-up a Custom Domain

Once you've created an account and selected a plan, you have two options to choose from when setting up a domain:

Option 1: Set up a new domain (for free)

Don’t have a domain yet? No problem! You can claim a brand-new domain at no additional cost. Just enter the domain name you want and click Check. If it’s available, our system will register it and have it ready in about 30 minutes.

Option 2: Connect a domain you already own

If your organization already owns a domain (through GoDaddy, Google Domains, etc.), you can connect it to your Jersey Watch website. Just log into your domain manager when prompted, and our system will guide you through the rest.
